Rock Band’s drum kit sucks. There’s no way around it. I learned this the hard way when I was playing Welcome Home on expert. I was almost done with the song and the bass kicker pedal snapped in half. Quickly I did a Google search on the Internets and found that quite a few people have had this “problem”. On eBay, I found a company called Mega Pedal who sell metal pedals for your Rock Band Drum kit. Intrigued I saw they had 3 different versions. Two are metal pieces that screw on to the plastic petal, and one that was a full chunk of metal. I ordered the full metal one and they shipped it the same day they got the order. I have heard that playing Rock Band’s drum kit on expert was similar if not identical to a real drum kit. I have also heard the opposite. Kevin from G4TV gets a chance to play with Coheed and Cambria.
